How the Lease Calculator Works

This calculator uses the standard fixed-rate installment loan formula. Your annual interest rate is converted to a monthly rate, and combined with the number of monthly payments over your chosen term to work out a level monthly payment that fully repays the loan (principal plus interest) by the end of the term.

M = P × [r(1+r)n] / [(1+r)n - 1]

Where M is the monthly payment, P is the loan principal, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12), and n is the total number of monthly payments (years × 12).
